The Rector and other ministers from Harling Benefice regularly conduct funeral services in our churches as well as at local Crematoria and Cemeteries.
The first step for those arranging a funeral service is to appoint a Funeral Director. If you would like the Vicar or another minister from Harling Benefice to conduct the funeral service you should advise the Funeral Director at the outset that this is what you would like them to do. It will also help everyone if you request that they do not book a time and venue for the occasion before speaking with us.
If you have any questions about a Christian funeral service please contact either the Rev Caryll Brown or Rev Varlie Sheldrake (http://harlingunitedbenefice.org.uk/whoswho).
Ashes may be buried in our churchyards following on from a cremation and the completion of a funeral service. Please contact the Rector if you wish to arrange for an interment of ashes. No ashes may be buried without a minister present. Churchyard Regulations do not allow us to scatter ashes in Church of England graveyards.
For the good of everyone churchyards are protected by law. Please click on Churchyard Regulations for more information.
Any enquiries relating to our churchyards should be directed to the relevant churchwarden. Please see the contact details for the church that you are interested in. Burials and funeral services cannot go ahead without the prior notice and approval of the Rector. Regulations regarding memorials apply to all our churchyards.
